: : : Here is the news for March : : :
Friday
31st
March
It
was yet another daddy-stay-at-home-day today so I utilised him to full
effect by using him as a climbing frame and a trampoline. He sort of
seems to enjoy it a bit.
Thursday
30th
March
Today
I did lots more lego. In the morning as a surprise Mum and Dad took
me to funky monkeys while Peter was at school. It was really quiet and
mostly we were the only people there. There were a few other small people
around but none to interfere with my master pplan for Dad - to get him
to slide down the swirly slide. He did it a few times but the last itme
he grazed allthe skin off his elbow which put him off doing it again.
Wednesday
29th
March
Dad
took me to a cafe after we dropped Peter off at school. I had a croissant
and a juice drink. Mostly I tried to eat the butter off the croissant.
After a quick go on the thomas the tank engine ride we went home and
played with lego a lot. I built another little train - it's a sort of
wonky steppy train.
What
exactly does a space ranger do?
Tuesday
28th
March
I
had a lovely day with Dad today, we did some lego games and
some car games and there was all manner of jumping on his legs and stomach
- most of which he wasn't very keen on. I also held the new baby, who
I like to call tiny buzz lightyear.
My
favourite phrase for today while doing some painting? "It's like
printing my own money".
Monday
27th
March
There's
no news today.
Sunday
26th
March
There
was another day of general grumpiness today. The highlight for me was
my new Thomas sunglasses, which I wore indoors, despite fashion advise
for nearly the whole morning.
In
the afternoon I jumped around from sofa to sofa and then stroked Paul's
hair a few times - it's very soft.
Saturday
25th
March
It
seems as if Mum and Dad's bed is now out of bounds. THis is making me
very grumpy - a fact which I demonstrated throughout the day by various
means. I'm hoping to get at least a toe in there tonight and I've thought
up a special plan to help me.
Friday
24th
March
Peter
was off school today with some kind of illness. I'm sure he's not as
ill as me. Anyway we started the day by being tucked up on the sofa
with cups of milk and so on. Neither of us wanted to out very much.
Once
we had mastered not coughing onto the baby we all had turns in holding
him. Peter had him for at least a whole hour and he seemed to enjoy
it a lot. I was more concered in making sure that my plastic sausage
and my lucky cork were safe tucked inside my socks.
Thursday
23rd
March
I
went to play with Sam and Liz again this morning and as expected I was
the best behaved boy ever. I made a fantastic train track with Liz and
we used every single piece of track.
In
the afternoon I was very tired and mostly dozed off on the sofa. Later
on Dad brought Mum and the new baby home. His hair is very soft.
Wednesday
22nd
March
I
went to play with Liz and Sam today and I had a great itme. I took my
lucky cork that I found on th floor this morning. I tucked it into my
sock for safekeeping. I had a lovely time and played so nicely that
Liz gave me a happy sticker for my jumper.
Dad
came and picked me up and then we went to the hospital - even though
I was so tired that I could barely stay awake. I had a little go holding
my littlebrother whose name happens to be Paul Jacob. Dad says that
If he grows up to be a pirate he can change his name to Pablo Jake.
Tuesday
21st
March
It's
all very exciting today - I have been dropped off at Emma's house while
mum and Dad go to the hostipal. At least there are buzz lightyear toys
to play with.
Dad
came with Peter to pick me up and then we went to the hospital too.
We saw Mum and imgaine my surprise! I've got a little brother! He hasn't
got name yet but he's very small. Mum also has a lovely tv which I watched.
Sometimes one is too tired to look at little brothers.
Monday
20th
March
There
is no news today because I am very ill.
Sunday
19th
March
Dad
looked after me last night and he did it so well that I kicked him out
of bed at 6.00 in the morning because he was lying down on the job in
my bed.
Later
on we went to the park and to funky monkey's today and I was still
ill and coughing. In fact, everyone has had a touch of my illness -
especially Dad. ONly he truly knows how it feels to be as ill as I am.
Anyway - I was nearing collapse after funky monkeys, so we had a cinema
afternoon at our house and I got tucked up on the couch. Shrek and Gromit
were my only true friends this afternoon.
Saturday
18th
March
I
must have been really sick today because I was allowed to stay in my
pyjamas until waay after lunch, when Mum got back from the baby sale
with a lovely hot wheels track WITH A DOUBLE LOOP in it. It took a while
for us to find the right cars for it and it took Dad even longer to
fix it to the radiator.
Friday
17th
March
I
had a pretty terrible night last night. There was lots of confusion
about having to have so much medicine and no one was very happy. Especially
me, although I did sort of enjoy having to use my new inhaling machine
that makes my breathing a little bit better. Everyone hopes that I'm
better before the baby gets here.
Thursday
16th
March
I
am sadly very ill and sad today. I've got a terrible cough and my misery
levels have flared right up.
Wednesday
15th
March
Apparently
I will be sharing my diary again. Next Tuesday. There may also be some
changes around these parts. I've heard that the new baby will be sleeping
in Mum and Dad's room which will mean that I won't be able to sneak
in in the mornings like I'm used to doing. We shall see.
I'm
not feeling very well today - so ill in fact that when Mum put my tea
down in front of me I told her that I'd had enough.
Tuesday
14th
March
Today
I have mostly been pretending to be Buzz Lightyear. Peter and I have
been playing a game which we like to call "toy story 2". We
even rope in some of our soft toys, although I'm not sure sure that
we make the most intelligent choices for the characters - for example,
Mr Potatohead is currently being played by our dinosaur. I'm fairly
sure he would be more comfortable in the role of "dinosaur".
Monday
13th
March
It
was Mum's birthday today and we started off by singing happy birthday
to her in bed. Peter was a bit tired so he sang while he was lying down.
Next came the presents and Mum was very pleased with all of our carefully
chosen gifts.
Later
on I made a cake with Mum - I expect it was a birthday cake. I ate a
lot of the mixture. When Dad came home we had a littl eparty with all
kinds of nice things to eat for our tea. Peter had written a special
shopping list with Strawberries, Sweets and Lollipops on it. I heard
him complaining about his pen this morning because it kept writing 2s
when he wanted to write Ss.
Sunday
12th
March
A
lot has happened today and I am very tired.
FIRST
we did a lot of running around the house and then we went to stratford
for a picnic where we did a lot of running around. We ran round and
round a tree for about an hour while Mum and Dad ate their lunch. I
dropped some of mine and a swan ate it.
SECOND
Dad took me to play with ben who was peeping through the door waiting
for us to arrive. We played with his trains and then ate an apple. I
wanted to try some tea but I go milk instead.
THIRD
I felt a bit faint so a snuggled up to Dad while we watched Toy Story
2 which wasn't as scary as I had thought it would be.
FOURTH
I went to bed and fell straight asleep.
Saturday
11th
March
We
had a very busy day today because it's Mum's birthday on Monday. First
we had to make her some birthday cards which we did by cutting up lots
of flowers and sticking them onto a piece of card. I did a bit of scribbling
too. Next we all went shopping and I chose a very special presnt for
Mum - it was a glass with some strawberries on it. Dad says that we
both (peter and I) have excellent if expensive tastes.
Friday
10th
March
It's
been a really slow day today, which I tried my hardest to start at 5.30.
Dad was insistant that it wasn't even morning yet, even though I opened
the curtains, pointed at the dark sky and told him it was alovely sunny
day. No dice - back to bed.
Thursday
9th
March
Today
I fell into two big puddles that I shouldn't really have been anywhere
near - especially as I had been warned about the first one and doubley
warned about the second one.
Wednesday
8th
March
There
will be no news today.
Tuesday
7th
March
I
had to help Mum take the car to the garage to be fixed today and it
was a real eye opener. When we went to pick it up the garage man had
cracked open the whole front of the car. I DID NOT KNOW THEY COULD DO
THAT. Mum said that they must have done it by some kind ofmagic. I shall
be asking Dad for a little look inside at his earliest convenience.
Luckily they did not meddle with my part of the car - the little door
at the back of the car where my pretend baby friend lives.
Monday
6th
March
Karen
came to see us today before she moves all the way to Australia and I'm
pleased to report that we were as good as gold. Peter even made her
a princess crown which she wore on her head. It was made form 3 bits
of coloured in paper and it looked beautiful.
Sunday
5th
March
Today
Peter and I helped Dad make a train out of two mysterious boxes full
of bits. Dad had started by tidying the shed and it looks like he found
these boxes somewhere at the back of it. After a lot of hammering in
the freezing cold outside, Peter and Dad and I had managed to make a
sort of train which we decorated with flags and things. It was too cold
to actually play on it though so we went inside afterwards. Maybe we
will sit on it tomorrow.
Saturday
4th
March
We
went for a special Pizza tea this evening. I had a miniature tantrum
when we had to leave but inbetween I ate all of my tea and masses of
icecream and sweets. It was no surprise to anyone when I had a big tummy
ache. Dad had to spend ages rubbing my tummy in a clockwise directions
which someone once told him helps.
Friday
3rd
March
My
behaviour today has been marked as 7 out of 10, which to be fair to
me, being only three isn't bad at all. Considering that Peter woke me
up VERY early with all his noise and general shenanigans I think I've
survived quite well. I was very tired at bedtime though, almosttoo tired
to explain to Dad where monsters come from, which as everyone knows
is from the black house far far away next to the house of the three
bears in the forest. Apart from the baby monsters that live in Dad's
hair. OBVIOUS.
Thursday
2nd
March
Uh-Oh.
Wednesday
1st
March
Dad
has put the best thing ever on the computer. It's a game that allows
me to become the driver of any train anywhere in the world. I can even
crash them if I like. I was so excited that I have been breathing through
my nose like a steam train for most of the day. I usually like to punctuate
this with a couple of good hearty whistles.
