: : Here is the news
for July : : :
Monday
31st July
We
went to Hatton Country World of extortion today and there was an outrage.
I ran in a race, and because I was so fast the person judging the race
didn't even see that I had won the race. Instead she gave me the THIRD
place ribbon, when clearly I had won firstplace. I was really very upset
about it.
Sunday
30th July
Today
we went for a lovely picnic in the park. We took our bikes and rode
round and round in circles until it was time to have our sandwiches
and go in the paddling pool. I received a variety of scratches and scrapes,
most of which were inconsequential.
Saturday
29th July
Today
my dreams all came true and Dad took me and peter to see Cars. It was
a very long film, but luckily Dad bought us some sweets to go with the
film, which he kindly handed out one at a time - usually "on demand".
It was a very good film and my favourite car was the red one.
Friday
28th July
As
a surprise, Dad came home at a mor usual time and I was happy to lavish
affection on him. I sat on his knee and stroked his frosty face.
Earlier
in the day Mum put a big bit of paper inthe garden and we ran in paint
and made a massive mess of art.
Thursday
27th July
We
went to victoria park today and went in the paddling pool. Luckily for
us it was deserted because of the massive thunderstorm that we had this
morning. Mostly there was good behaviour as we are hoping to go to the
cinema to see CARS this weekend.
Dad
arrived home just in time to give me a big cuddle before I went to sleep.
I reminded him of the happy times we had watching the incredibles last
sunday. Especially the bit where I accidently jumped on his leg.
Wednesday
26th July
Today
Mum moved the paddling pool away from the dangerous area of the garden
- the danger was caused by extreme weather conditions and an overflowing
drain - into the good area of the garden. ONce again, in the intolderable
heat of the day we have had a lovely cool swimming pool to live in.
Dad
as not been seen for days as he is at work.
Tuesday
25th July
I'm
sorry to report that I accidently got into several little fights today
in the park. In my defence it wasn't actually my fault - there was a
disagreement over a stick with another small person and I was the victim
of an unprovoked attack on another occasion. I had an ice cream when
I got hom to make up for it.
Monday
24thd July
We
had a new water game in the garden today - it was a water slide. Peter
was really good at sliding all the way down the slide into the little
pool at the end of it. I was not quite as adept as rather tha stopping
and sliding I just kept on running until I got to the end. I suspect
I will get the idea at some point.
Sunday
23rd July
Today
I got away with only wearing shorts all day. I didn't go out but it
was much cooler than it has been. Yesterday I got away with wearing
pyjamas all day - so it was a slight step up for me.
Peter
went to a party in the afternoon so Dad and I had a cinema time. We
watching the incredibles.
Saturday
22nd July
Today
was the day that it rained and it rained and it rained. First of all
it went really dark and then there was a thunderstorm. We all had a
go at going out it in so that we got soaking wet, but Dad was the one
who had to go and put all the toys away, so he had to change his clothes.
Friday
21st July
Today
we had a party because Peter doesn't have to go to school for a whole
6 weeks. It's his holiday - My life is, of course, one very long holiday.
Apparently I have 6 weeks of it left befoewI have to go to school. Anyway,
we had cake and pretzels and all kinds of delicious things.
Thursday
20th July
Swimming
Pool. Cool. Sun.... hot.... boiling....
Today
I went to play with Jasmine, and actually I promised not to be cross
with her. Despite the heat I tried very very hard indeed, but sadly,
somehow she infuriated me.
Wednesday
19th July
Today
was another really hot day and another day spent in a freezing cold
paddling pool - it really is the only way to spend ones time.
In
other news I have been progressing very well with my letter pronounciation.
I used to say "d" for a great many letters, but now I can
very clearly pronounce c, g, l, v, w, and all the other really hard
letters. Basically I am lazy when it comes to talking and would rather
take the dddddddd shortcut.
Tuesday
18th July
I
went to Peter's sports day today and I was very proud indeed when Peter
won the 100m (or thereabouts) dash. It was a close race, but he was
by far the fastest boy in the class.
Later
on I did a race of my own - a preschool race. I found out that I was
the fastest smallest person because I won my race too!
Monday
17th July
Look!
Suddenly I am THREE and A WHOLE HALF! That's right A WHOLE HALF. TO
celebrate Mum filled the swimming pool with freezing cold water - as
the temperature is in the high, or mid 30s and Peter and I spent a long
time swimming around like tiny pirates. I may have fallen over (aided)
a few times and swallowed a fair amount, but all in all a freezing cold
time was had by all.
Sunday
16th July
Today
we went IN the car to a place near oxford where we had a picnic. IJ
collected as many pine cones as I could and made them into a little
pile. The pile was for a bonfire, but apparently Dad had no matches.
Later
on we went to Stratford which took us ages because of all the motorbikes.
Anyway - eventually we went to Uncle Mark's pub and sang a happy birthday
to him. I gave him the card that I made for him and he was very happy.
Saturday
15th July
There
will be no news today.
Friday
14th July
I
can't believe Dad has had to go to work today as well. That just seems
a bit rubbish.
Thursday
13th July
Dad
returned home this evening. He woke me up to give me a kiss, but I was
really too sleepy to know he was there. I'll jump on him in the morning
instead.
Wednesday
12th July
I
went to visit my friend Hugo this morning and as usual there were Buzz
Lightmare and Woody toys to play with, although what I really wanted
to do was actually watch toy story while playing with the toys.
Tuesday
11th July
I
went, uninvited, to a birthday party today. I didn't have any choice
really as Dad has disappeared to somewhere called Brighton. I wet to
the bowlings and made it my business to rearrange things in the whole
alley. Moving balls and bits and pieces from one place to another -
i made quite a nuisance of myself.
Monday
10th July
I
am Buzz Lightyear, defender of the universe on my way to star command.
I also have a mission log and I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT NEED ANOTHER PARTNER.
How many times? HOW MANY!?!?
Sunday
9th July
I
went swimming today. I was a bit worried to start with that I might
sink like a stone, but I found that as long as I kept my chin poking
out of the water that I could manage to stay afloat. I have found that
it takes a lot of effort to propel myself forwards though as I tend
only to use my legs, which are usually pointing downwards instead of
backwards.
Saturday
8th July
We
went to a special kind of farm today. It was a farm where we could pick
strawberries. Dad and I picked strawberries and then some raspberries.
I even managed to eat a few. Later on Dad mentioned some kind of joke
about Lazy greedy farmers, pick your own strawberries, but I didn't
understand.
Friday
7th July
There
was a big surpirse this morning because unbeknownst to anyone Grandma
had arrived unannouced in the night and when I woke up she was in her
special sofa bed. It wasn't long before I joined her in the bed and
made everything uncomfortable for her.
Later
on we saw a barge being lowered into the canal, which took ages.
Thursday
6th July
I
helped Mum make some cakes today and we used those little ball bearing
decorations for the tops of the cakes. I put ALL of the pink ones on
the top of one cake. There were about 20. It took me about half an hour
to stick them on. I had to lick the icing of my fingers after putting
each one on which made the job doubley delicious. When the masterpiece
was complete I licked all the decorations off and left the cake. I gave
the cake to Mum and asked her to finish it off.
Wednesday
5th July
I
went to the baby clinic today while Paul was being weighed. I was slightly
annoyed at the other children playing with "my" toys, but
I let it pass this time.
Tuesday
4th July
There
was more swimming pool shenanigans today. I persuaded Mum to sit in
it. I used Mums legs as a slide. It was the best waterslide in our garden
ever.
Monday
3rd July
Great
News! The swimming pool is still active and despite various parental
worries in not filled with slime although I suspect that tomorrow will
be the last day for the water. I will try to persuade someone that it
would be a good idea to refill the pool. I will use my best face to
do it.
Sunday
2nd July
It
was another really hot day today so we had a picnic in the garden. Dad
turned up with a big tent that we helped him make. It has no sides and
a special name that I can't remember. Dad also found a SWIMMING POOL
in the shed which he very kindly filled up with cold water. I spent
at least4 hours sitting in freezing cold water in the shade, which,
for a hot day was ideal.
Saturday
1st July
I
haven't been feeling very well today. It didn't stop me from running
around in the garden while throwing water at Peter, but I didn't feel
very well - and I said so. My point was proved in the in the afternoon.
