Tuesday
31st
January
My
lovely brother and I have been having lots of fun playing our new favourite
game, Twister. Peter is a very good Twister and I am a very good twizzler
of the right foot green thing.
I'm
not really in Dad's good books today as I got up about 10 times last
night. He still read me a story at bedtime inbetween telling me all
about how I was goig to stay in my own bed tonight. We shall see.
Monday
30th
January
There
will be no news today.
Sunday
29th
January
Finally
grandma arrived with Aunt Lord and it seemed to take them ages to arrive.
After lunch we played a great game called twister. I was really good
at spinning the spinner and Peter was really good at doing all the balancing.
When
the house could no longer contain us we went to the park for a bike
ride. I went nearly fast and Peter went really fast. He didn't know
that Dad had moved his stabalisers up a bit so he fell off his bike
when he went round the first corner. He wasn't hurt though.
Sadly
Grandma and Lord have to go home today.
Saturday
28th
January
Today
I went triumphantly in the car into Town and to the toy shop to claim
my hard won prize. I chose an Emily train as there was no stepney one
to be had there. She comes in two parts and even has magnets.
Later
on Ben came to play, we share a love of trains in general and had lots
of fun driving them round a variety of tracks, one of which was made
by Peter. Thanks!
Friday
27th
January
It's
friday and I have two more thomas sticker stars on my star chart. This
brings me two stars closer to my shopping trip to the toy shop tomorrow.
I'm not sure what I shall decide to buy but I suspect it will be Thomas
related in some way.
I
went to a creche today but it was rubbish. All the other children were
just babies and there was a scary lady there with grey hair. I told
her to go away because she was scaring me.
Thursday
26th
January
I
now have nearly a full house of thomas stickers on my special star chart.
There are two squares for every day and I have each square up to today
completely full. This means that I have been behaving as if I were an
angel or some such.
Dad
told me that he was going to make me another star chart that will all
be to do with staying in my own bed. I am imagining that I won't care
very much about that particular chart.
Wednesday
25th
January
I'm
pleased to announce that it is apparently still my birthday today as
there was a large bag of presents on the kitchen table this morning.
I am even more pleased to announce that they were all full of thomas
related toys, which is even better. I have been playing with my books,
colouring pens and stickers all day. Thank you very much grandma and
esther and maud.
Tuesday
24th
January
This
morning as a special treat we had Hannah staying in our house. I'm not
sure when she arrived, but it was lovely to see her, even though we
only saw her very briefly, because Dad took her away somewhere else.
When he came back in the evening he had manged to lose Hannah, but had
found Esther. So that was nice. Esther didn't stay long either though,
I think we may have scared her off.
Monday
23rd
January
In
the morning I was very naughty.
In
the afternoon I was very good - as good as an angel apparently so there's
balance in everything.
Sunday
22nd
January
I
made a special clock with Dad today. First we printed it out on a piece
of paper and then I coloured the numbers in - not very carefully and
I went ovre all the lines. It's quicker to do like that. Then Dad cut
it out and I helped him put it into the clock. It's got a picture of
thomas on it. It's a Thomas clock. It will show me when it's 4.30 or
earlier.
Saturday
21st
January
I
played the jumping on Dad's tummy game today. All you have to do is
leap very high into the air and aim for somewhere on Dad's tummy. There
is never any danger of falling onto the floor as he will always catch
you, except - if he's asleep. When he's asleep the surprised look on
his face is not a pretend one and you may fall onto the floor. Luckily
he caught me at the last minute.
Friday
20th
January
I
woke up at 4.00 last night and although I was already in Mum and Dad's
bed (which had previously got into secretly) I screamed REALLY loudly
into Dad's ear. There was a monster biting my toes, and I didn't like
it one bit. Although of course I realise that there are no monsters.
Although I told Dad that I seen one outside the downstairs toilet this
morning. Dad asked me what he was called. "Mr. Monster".
Thursday
19th
January
There
is no news today.
Wednesday
18th
January
There's
not much to tell today, I've been playing with all my toys - especially
my spencer train and my cat stacking game. The cats are quite hard to
stack sometimes.
Gaye
came in the evening with another lovely present - it was a lego helicopter.
She came just at bedtime which was lovely because she earned us an extra
40 minutes being not in bed time! good work Gaye!
Tuesday
17th
January
TODAY
I AM THREE. There's really no getting away from it. I wish everyone
would stop singing that song to me though, it should be clear that when
I have my hands over my ears that I really don't like it.
I
did however have somer eally lovely presents. The best ones were the
one from Mama and Dada which was a cat stacking game, and Dad and Mum
got me some corkers too.
I
had a little party in the evening where there were many cakes and crisps
and sandwiches and the like. The crowning glory was the CAKE that everyone
made for me. It was a Train cake and it even had a tender full of popcorn
coal. It was almost too good to eat.
Monday
16th
January
I
spent this morning pretending to be an egg. How it works is as follows:
Get up really early and get into Mum and Dad's bed. NExt curl up very
small and try and squidge underneath Dad. Say "I AM AN EGG"
for a bit and then wriggle about a lot.
I
spent this afternoon falling off the sofa and bashing my head.
Sunday
15th
January
I've
been worrying about my birthday today. Will there be some presents?
Apparently yes. Will they be brought by Father Birthday? Apparently
no. I'm still sad about Dad's uncle Jim not being the actual father
christmas, I thought it would be nice to have him in the family.
Saturday
14th
January
I
went to Ben's house today to play with his toys. Dad said that I would
have toask first before I played with them, but as it turned out he
was doing some drawing, which left his fire station totally free. There
was a little competition from Sam, but nothing I couldn't fight off.
Friday
13th
January
I
am very tired today so there will be no news.
Thursday
12th
January
I
met Dad for lunch today and had milk and cookies in our meeting-dad-lunch-time-cafe.
It was lovely, especially the chocolate cookie part of it. Dad kept
asking me if there was a bit of my cookie with his name on it. I told
him that this cookie was just for babies, and could he please stop calling
it a biscuit. I told him i liked his beard instead.
Later
on I rubbed Dad's face where it's all rough and told him I liked his
"frost". He seemed pleased.
Wednesday
11th
January
Today
I fell over three times, and sadly the last time I fell over it was
into a great big muddy puddle. I fell over flat on my face too. I did
it when we were on our way to Peter's school. We usually play a traffic
light game where Peter says "redlightyellowlightgreenlightGOOO!"
and then I run off. It's a good game, but you have to be careful of
puddles and the like.
Tuesday
10th
January
I
have been just a little bit grumpy today. I think I may be hitting the
peak of my terrible twos, and just in time too, as I am three in just
a week or so.
Monday
9th
January
There
is little good news today.
Sunday
8th
January
Not
only did we go on a steam train today, but we saw elephants from the
window of the steam train. That doesn't happen every day. It was the
best day ever though. I got a small train to play with on the big train,
which went through tunnels and made whistling noises and everything.
Dad found some slinky springs under the seat that I used to pretend
to be an elephant too. There were also sandwiches.
Saturday
7th
January
I
went on a special trip with Dad this morning, at least that's what he
told me it was going to be. When we got there not only was it snowing
but it was IKEA. I spent most of the time I was there saying things
like, "No-one even wants to be here" and "Everyone wants
to go home" and "lets all find the way out if we try".
Eventually we did find our way out and it was still snowing so we went
home.
Friday
6th
January
I
went to see Dad at work today. As usual he was already playing on my
THomas The Tank Engine website. He let me have a little go though. After
that Mum and I took him out for a cup of coffee and a cookie. He called
it a biscuit and I had to correct him about that.
Thursday
5th
January
It
has been decided that apple juice no longer agrees with my system, for
reasons we shall not delve too deeply into.
In
other news I made sure that Dad was awake for most of the night. I even
slapped his head with my feet in the morning and called it "patting".
Wednesday
4th
January
There
will be no news today.
Tuesday
3rd
January
I'm
afraid that the only thing I did today was to shout and generally make
a nuisance of myself whilst being bad tempered. There was almost nothing
I did that redeemed me. This will all change once I am three.
Monday
2nd
January
Today
we did nearly exactly the same things as yesterday, except this time
everything was open. Dad and I raced Peter around the track - I pressed
my foot on the pedal and Dad did the steering as I wasn't really that
bothered about doing it. It's the sort of thing you have to keep thinking
about.
There
was no cake today.
I
invented some binoculars for trying to see if I could see Mum and Peter,
the invention mainly involved cupping my hands around my eyes, in the
internationally recognised sign for binoculars. I did eventually see
them, but only when they were quite close to us.
Sunday
1st
January
We
were supposed to be going on a mysterious outing today, apparently there
was supposed to be some go-karts to drive on around a little tiny town.
Sadly that part of the treat place was shut so we had to make do with
eating a massive piece of cake in the cafe instead. I had a tantrum
too, which was nice.
After
that we went to a shop that was closed when we got there.
We
did play in the massive box that the TV came in though, that was the
most fun we've had all holiday. Probably.
