: : : Here is the news for February : : :
Tuesday
28th
February
It's
the end of the month and for some reason we had pancakes today. I was
very enthusiastic about tossing them and although some ended up on the
floor and some nearly ended up on my head (dad caught them before they
did) I had a great itme. I wish we could have pancakes every single
night of the week. They are a lot of fun although their sugar content
is high. Maybe they would be best to have at lunch time - that's what
I overheard Mum saying to Dad.
Monday
27th
February
Today
my friend H came to play at my house. He brought some gingerbread men
that needed decorating with him and we did that. I hope no one noticed
how much icing I ate. All a gingerbread man really needs is two eyes
and a couple of buttons. Anyway - I ate him as soon as I had finished
him so what difference does it make.
After
the gingerbread men had been consumed we went and got all the music
things out. H played the Accordian and I accompanied him on my harmonica.
It wasn't quite the blues, but it was close enough.
Sunday
26th
February
Today
Dad seems to have our eye infection. I have noticed that hen he puts
his own eye drops in that he doesn't do very much crying or shouting,
just like he said he wouldn't last week when he was putting our eyedrops
in.
Saturday
25th
February
There
was a surprise today. We had a cinema in our house. There was no popcorn,
but we did have some toast and watch Wallace and Gromit. It was very
good, because this time we didn't miss the first ten minutes like we
did at the real cinema.
Friday
24th
February
There's
no news today either. I wasn't bad, it's just that no one can remember
what happened.
Thursday
23rd
February
Mum
did a really difficult job for us this morning when she put together
the road track all by herself. She even followed the instructions instead
of just guessing like Dad normally does. I checked the diagrams and
I'm fairly sure she got the whole thing exactly right. She was quite
tired afterwards though, but then she has got a whole baby inside her
tummy. I still periodically have a look down various relations mouths
to check whether or not they have a baby as well. "wider.. wider...
wiiiiider.... nope, no baby in there..."
Wednesday
22nd
February
There
will be no news today.
Tuesday
21st
February
I'm
on the "internet"
today, whatever that is. I've had a look but it doesn't seem to have
any pictures of Thomas or Percy on it so I'm sorry to say that I wasn't
very interested. Dad assures me that it's both interesting and informative.
I've
been doing som catching practice and I'm very good until the ball accidently
hits me in the head. Then when it comes towards me I cover my face with
my hands so the ball hits my hands. I osrt of have to foget about the
catching bit at that point.
Monday
20th
February
Today
I have conjunctivitus and I don't like having my eyedrops at all. Possibly
less than Peter does. It's hard to tell when you have your tiny eyes
screwed so tightly shut and covered with your hands and your legs are
flailing all around the place. I don't make as much noise though.
We
went to a soft play area in the afternoon and I braved the big slide
(with Dad firmly by my side). Mum said that she wouldn't come in. I
thought that was because she might get stuck in some of the smaller
areas.
Sunday
19th
February
Peter
has conjunctivitus and doesn't like having his eyedrops at all. I hope
I don't get the "seeing disease".
Saturday
18th
February
Another
successful night, and this time I didn't even wake up all night either.
Most people are very pleased with me.
Mum
took us to the playground near the railway today, we had a lovely time,
Dad couldn't come because he's doing something mysterious in the loft.
When he's finished we were allowed in it. I thought it unimpressive.
Friday
17th
February
Success!
I am a genius, and a special prize came in the post this morning to
prove it. It was a Stepney train - a *long* awaited Stepney. To cap
it all I slept very soundly too.
Thursday
16th
February
Just
a quick note this evening to tell you that after more than a week of
no need for nappy nights I am attempting a free run this evening. I
shall let everyone know how it goes tomorrow. It's not usually the sort
of thing I like to talk about though.
Wednesday
15th
February
"Miaow
miaow miaow miaow miaow miaow miaow miaow miaow miaow". "really?",
"miaow". "verrrrry interesting". Dad may have invented
the best game every with a toy cat. I listen whle it miows a secret.
It's a variation on a popular game that I know.
Tuesday
14th
February
I
played a good bedtime game with Dad tonight. It was called "tum-drum".
Here's how its played. Dad sticks his tummy out at varying heights.
I pat / slap /hit his tummy as he's doing it. It makes a good noise
and is very gratifying.
Monday
13th
February
When
Dad got home last night I was very excited. I stopped eating my tea
and ran to the front door to welcome him home. "DAD! I HAVE MADE
YOU A CARD!!". Mum told me that it was a secret, which I had forgotten.
I whispered to Dad "dad, i have made you a card...". Much
better.
Sunday
12th
February
We
went to a cafe today and I had a bottle of mago juice and a straw and
a chocolate muffin. I'm sorry to say that I forgot the golden rule about
bottles and straws and did a fair amount of tipping up as I was drinking
which inevitably lead to mango juice on my jumper.
Saturday
11th
February
There
was not much sleep for me last night because I had a sore tummy. I have
been telling everyone that I had one for a long time, but no one really
believed me. But I did have one. Anyway, it was lucky that I woke up
so early because Dad had to get up and go to work today. Something to
do with moving to a new office I think. As long as I can still play
THomas on his computer when I go there I don't really mind.
Friday
10th
February
Today
I was a bit of a stinker for most of the day, especially when i ran
away in the shop and in the playground and when I shouted a lot at Peter's
assembly.
Thursday
9th
February
I
went to the dentist with Mum today. I wasn't going to get looked at,
but I was supposed to be getting used to having someone poke about in
my mouth. Of course, on the way to the dentist I agreed to let the dentist
do all kinds of looking and checking. However, upon my arrival I changed
my mind.
Wednesday
8th
February
In
an outrageous and bold move Mum and Dad have put up a secret inpenetrable
barrier across their bedroom door - its a sort of stairgate, but it's
too high for me to climb over. I was very put out when I encountered
it this morning and I had no choice but to go back to bed.
Tuesday
7th
February
We
had some visitors today and they were very impressed with my train collection
and my train track that Peter drew for me on a really long bit of paper.
It's the one with bridges and roads and a pond and EVERYTHING. They
were so impressed that we had to give them a really big bit of paper
of their own so that when they got home they could draw their own.
Monday
6th
February
I
had an exciting day today because Mum had to go to hospital and while
she was there Dad looked after me at work. Instead of playing on his
computer though we went to a really big building with lots of steps
and played pool, just like in tom and jerry. There was even a little
cue that was just my size. I had to put chalk on it too, so that I could
play even better. Mostly I enjoyed rolling balls into the pockets, which
Dad said wasn't quite the rules but it was fun anyway. Afterwards we
went for ice cream and Dad pushed me around the building on a little
trolley.
Sunday
5th
February
Grandma
came unexpectedly today which was very nice because it meant that I
could show her and her friend Jill our new sofa. I demonstrated how
comfortable it was by rolling around all over it.
Later
on Dad took us all out for tea. I didn't eat any pizza but I did eat
all of my chicken and potato wedges. As a reward I promised Dad that
I would stay in my bed all night tonight. (just like last night).
Saturday
4th
February
Today
we have been really busy. Dad took Peter to his work to do some jobs.
It seemed as if they mostly ate chocolate buttons, but I think Dad has
mentioned that thats what he does at work mostly anyway.
Afterwards,
and we werenearly too late to get there, we wwnt to see Wallace and
Gromit and the were rabbit and the cinemama. I am almost sure that I
enjoyed it although I couldn't wuite work out the plot. It was a little
more complicated than usual. Still - I hope that we will get it on a
dvd, then we can watch it enough times for me to get the gist.
Friday
3rd
February
What
a merry dance I lead. There was no sleep for anyone at all last night.
My trick is to always leave my habits as a surprise - that way no one
will know what to expect.
Thursday
2nd
February
There
has been a miracle. I slept for the whole of the night without getting
up at all. Everyone is very pleased - Dad especially. As a reward he
somehow managed tofind a nintendo ds hat at work which fits me perfectly.
I am looking forward to receiving my ultimate reward for sleeping in
my own bed - a stepney.
Wednesday
1st
February
I'm
pleased to report that since Dad sorted it out, monsters are not welcome
in my bedroom. They had been keeping me awake on previous nights with
their constant shenanigans and carry on. Dadhas since explained to me
that they are not allowed into my room as they do not have tickets.
It all seems reasonable to me.
