Here is the news for September :::
Friday 30th September
Today
I went into Peter's school because there was a little cake morning.
I chose a croissant and sat down quietly to eat it. Sadly things did
not go exactly according to place because after only a few minutes
I was very very sick all over the classroom floor. I was quite impressed
with my covereage too - all in all there must have been at least 2
sqaure metres.
I had already
told Mum that I was too tired to walk so I can't really understand
why everyone was so surprised.
Grandma is
here! and she's brought activities!
Thursday 29th September
Today
we went ot he special swimming pool with Mum, because now she has
the car. I did some of my best swimming and kicked my legs a lot.
There was a great deal of splashing and lots and lots of jumping in,
which keeps MUm on her toes.
Wednesday 28th September
There
was an early start today because I decided that there should be. I
had a nightmare that my whole bed was infested with bees and woke
up quite scared. No one wants a bed full of bees, except Mum probably.
Tuesday 27th September
Today
there was a miricle. I stayed asleep until 7.00 and Dad had to wake
me up. This has never happened before - not ever.
Because we
have the car now as Dad has a bike, Mum drove us all to funky monkeys
today. She had a lovely sit down while Peter and I ran around for
an hour. We pretty much exhausted ourselves so that when Dad came
home we didn't even have the energy to say hello to him.
Monday 26th September
Today
I slept until 6.45, which is a new record for me. Mum and Dad were
very pleased too.
Sunday 25th September
I
had lots of fun with the trains this morning. Dad managed to get up
quite early and spent a long time playing with me before anyone else
was up. I wasn't really supposed to be up, but i was. As usual. I
managed to get Dad out of bed by using my wriggly pestering technique.
It works every time.
I helped Mum
make some special chocolate cakes today - they were fridge cakes and
we made them for Gaye's birthday. It was a lot of fun and I didn't
eat too much mixture.
Saturday 24th September
I
used Dad as a kind of sleeping bag today by sitting on his tummy and
then pushing my legs up inside his t-shirt until they were poking
into his neck. Then I lay down and snored for a while. Dad wasn't
very comfortable though.
I went to
the computer shop in the afternoon, but it wasn't very good. I said
in a very loud voice that everything in the shop was rubbish. So we
left.
Wallace seems
to have vanished again.
Friday 23rd September
I
made life very difficult for everyone at Peter's assembly today. I
spoke in my loudest voice and generally made a nuisance of myself.
No one was very pleased.
Thursday 22nd September
I
demanded that Wallace be returned to me late last night. Apparently
he has been on "holiday". I suspect that he has in fact
probably been on top of the wardrobe in Mum and Dad's room. I shouted
pretty loud and it was amazing how fast he turned up. As a punishment
I made Mum carry him around for most of the day.
Wednesday 21st September
I
had some post today - it was a parcel addressed to me from someone
on the internet. Inside was an EDWARD and a DUCK, which was great
because I don't have either of those particular trains in my extensive
collection. I carried them around for the rest of the day.
Tuesday 20th September
Today
I found Dad's camera and as he was snoring upstairs in my bed I decided
to take a few pictures. I managed to take about 20 before the battery
ran out and most of them were of my face in extreme closeup as my
arms are only short. None of them were particularly flattering either.
I gave the game away a little bit by leaving the camera on the floor
in the living room. A terrible error.
Monday 19th September
Today
we went to brag AFTER we had dropped Peter off for his first day at
big school. He looked very smart in his uniform and although he wasn't
very pleased to start with, he did seem to enjoy it when he got back.
I insisted on phoning Dad and telling him all about my day in quite
some detail. I told him all about the winnie the pooh that I'd seen
and how much like the one I have at home it was. He seemed to be very
excited about it.
I've started
calling Dad "Dad" and Mum "Mum" instead of daddy
and mummy. They have started calling me "boy".
Sunday 18th September
We
went to the park today and I must have fallen over about 20 times.
I'm not sure what I was falling over, perhaps it was my feet. I managed
to do the assault course a couple of times without falling over, so
that was nice. Afterwards, Dad took us to see Dave and Rose, only
rose wasn't there at all. I thought that she must be hiding somewhere,
so I spent the time we we re there, searching in every nook and cranny
of the whole house, but no Rose. Maybe I missed a spot.
Saturday 17th September
Today
there have been a lot of boxes in the house and all of Dad's cds have
been put into several of them. Peter and I have been helping by either
sitting in boxes and pretending that they are cars or by packing other
things into the boxes. As far as I am able to calculate, our efforts
have not been appreciated.
For some reason
Dad got cross with me for putting a mouse mat shiny side down on one
chair and then jumping onto it from another chair. He reminded me
that I had only just fallen off a chair yesterday and that perhaps
this might be a foolish thing to do.
Friday 16th September
There
was quite a big surprise today because we went to the hospital. Apparently
Mum has a baby in her tummy. I am always the last to know. Amazingly,
even Dad knew about it and he usually doesn't pay much attention.
Now Peter will be the big boy, I will no longer me the baby - I will
be the miggum sized person, and the new baby will be the baby.
Thursday 15th September
There
will be no news today.
Wednesday 14th September
Today,
from about 6.00am onwards I was wuite grumpy and moany. Sorry about
that. I also insisted that Mum should never put Wallace down. She
disobeyed my direct order too!
Tuesday 13th September
I
didn't fall out of bed last night, but I did wake up shrieking after
a terrible nightmare. I dreamed that my bed was full of insects, which
really wasn't very nice at all. Mum and Dad somehow had torches to
hand and were able to show me that in fact it was mostly full of bears.
Monday 12th September
Last
night I fell out of my bed with vey big bang. It scared me so much
that I ran into Mum and Dad's room without even realising that I was
doing it. Mum brought me downstairs and I watched something on the
tv. It was NOT teletubbies so I went back to bed.
In the afternoon
We made some special cakes with chocolate and rice crispies. Peter's
were all bigger than mine, mostly because I put most of my mixture
into my mouth.
Sunday 11th September
Today
was a day to go to the soft play place at hatton where Peter mostly
ran around and around until he nearly collapsed from exhaustion and
I went on lots of slides and walked round quietly and gently so as
not to tire myself out too much. Afterwards Dad bought everyone some
tea. I had sausages and some chips and they were deeeeeeelicious.
Saturday 10th September
Today
it rained a lot. I was sure that the rain would come inside the house
and I even held my hand against the window to judge exactly how wet
it was going to get in our front room. Of course, the window was shut,
but I knew it would be wet outside - I just wasn't sure if it would
be wet inside on my nair. Eventually Dad let me go outside to feel
it on my nands.
Friday 9th September
Today
we met Daddy outside his new work so that we could take him for a
picnic. I told him that I had missed him then we all walked to the
bandstand park and ate our picnic. Peter and I ran madly around Mum
and Dad like two satellites around two tired moons. The park is the
place to run around but apparently not the place to have a wee right
out in the open, even if it's an emergency one.
Thursday 8th September
There
was another early start today and once Dad had disappeared off to
work we made some little cars out of boxes. They even have steering
wheels, which Mum cunningly made (at 8.00 I might add) out of paper
plates. Peter's was a good model of car because his car had buttons
made out of beads on a pipe cleaner. To top it all off, they have
strings which hang around our necks. I drove mine around for ages.
I made a massive
fuss at bedtime again.
Wednesday 7th September
Today
I woke up really early and then moaned for ages because no one wanted
to play with me or in fact have anything to do with me. I also woke
Peter up, and he wasn't very pleased about that either. It was no
surprise that there weren't many people with much sympathy for me
when I said how tired I was.
Later on in
the day we went to see lucky the cat. I'm sure there are other people
living in the house that Lucky lives in, but the cat is my main focus
while I'm there. She likes being stroked, but not being poked.
So far I have
been promised a: THomas the Tank Duvet cover, pillow cover, a NEW
thomas the tank engine AND and ANNIE and a CLARABEL, IF I sleep all
the way through the night. Mum and Dad are getting desperate, I think
I'll hold out for something really good.
Tuesday 6th September
Surprisingly,
today was a daddy stay at home day. Apparently he has now changed
his jobs right over. I hope he will take us to the park.
We went to
the park, eventually, in the afternoon, after playing with some lego
in the morning. I made a harmonica out of a bit of wood chip, and
Dad and I did the marble maze in the park a few times. I allowed him
to help me do it this time. Dad also helped me balance on the wobbly
bar, which was very wobbly. Dad tried to do it as well, but I was
wobbling it so much that he fell off.
Monday 5th September
There
is great news today, apparently I am allowed to take ANY and ALL die
cast metal engines to bed with me. Even if they wake me up at all
hours. WHATEVER I insist on generally gets granted, especially by
Mum, in her weakened state.
I haven't
really spoken to Dad at bedtime recently what with all the tiredness
and all.
Sunday 4th September
There
was a new soft play place to visit today - it was in Southam and It
was quite reasonable. Dad found it difficult to keep up with us because
nearly all the spaces are built for people about alf his height. I
think he nearly got completely stuck in one tiny weeny bit and I had
to help pull him out. He may have been faking though.
Saturday 3rd September
There
was some shopping to be done today but I'm afraid it was the same
old dull shopping as usual. This time with the added excitement of
not getting a little car to play with - I think Dad may have forgotten
about the distractive powers that an 87p car can have - Although the
problem is that we now have hundreds of 87p cars - one for each time
that we have been shopping for nearly a whole year.
Friday 2nd September
Today
I helped to make a cake. It was total teamwork all the way - first
Peter broke an egg and then I did. Then I ate a spoonful of chocolate
and then Peter did. I somehow managed to get chocolate all over my
whole head. The cake was deeeeeeeelicious though. We ate it when Dad
came home from work with a lovely cup of milk.
Thursday 1st September
There
isn't much news today. It's been a slow news day - mostly I grumbled
and complained about everything that I could.
