: : : Here is the news for June : : :

Thursday 30th June
I was very pleased to find that the Salvation Army playgroup was open today as it was shut last week and there were no toys to play with. Today I drove around in a little car and wouldn't get out - not even when I wanted to visit the loo. I was too worried that some other small person would steal my vehicle.

Wednesday 29th June
We went for a walk to the canal today and we found a little cherry tree. I helped squash a few of them, but Mum did most of the work. We picked a whole load of them and took them home. Mum will make them into a crumble for Dad later.

I went on another bus today - only from Asda to the school, but it was fun non the less.

Tuesday 28th June
I've been away for quite a while now, but Dad's computer is fixed so now I'm back properly. Nothing much has changed, I have a few more freckles and today I accidently stepped on a bee.

In sleeping news, I still wake up before 7.00 and no one is ever pleased.

Monday 27th June
We went to the baby group today. I cried and howled all the way there because I didn't want to go. When we got there though it seemed ok and I only cried a bit. Then I found that actually I was having quite a nice time. When we left Mum reminded me that I hadn't wanted to go and then I remembered. So I cried all the way home.

Sunday 26th June
Dad took us on a very special trip to the dump today and then on to fill the car up with petrol. I think it was because there were some people coming over to look at the house. Apparently our help is not needed in the selling process.

Saturday 25th June
It was the usual shopping shenanigans today. THEN WE WENT TO AN AIRPORT. I was quite exciting to see actual realy life planes. Sadly they were quite a long way away so I couldn't tell how big they were. They didn't look big enough for real people though.

Friday 24th June
A man came to look at our house. I was very polite and said "hello lady". Dad only laughed at me a little bit. Apparently we are going to move house. I am very concerned that we remember to take all of my toys along with us..

Thursday 23rd June
ACCIDENT! a swing has hit me in the face somehow. I probably wasn't looking where I was going - that's how I usually end up injured. Anyway, there's a great big egg on my head. Mum got a bag of peas out of the freezer and I had to put it on my head. I wasn't keen.

Wednesday 22nd June
It was too hot again today so Mum made us a very special den in the garden It had walls and a roof and a big bench inside it. If you remain quiet while you are inside the den you are almost undetectable. Dad couldn't find us when he got home and he was looking for ages. He even couldn't find us when I was telling him where we were and Mum and Peter were telling me to shush.

Tuesday 21st June
Today i have been a tiny bit grumpy because Peter isn't very well. He has got a sore leg or something. This means that he is getting lots of attention and I am not. I have compensated for this by leaping on Peter at every opportunity and generally making a nuisance of myself. I did sleep all night without waking up though - so that's something.

Monday 20th June
It was too hot to sleep last night and the fan that Mum had kindly provided kept on waking me up every time it blew over me. I also wanted to be tucked in – and was quite stubborn about that. Of course that made me too hot, which woke me up.

Sunday 19th June
It was so hot today that I wilted when I went outside. Dad was busy mending the floor in the kitchen and apparently my help was not required. I did a few experimental hits with a screwdriver but he put a stop to that. Peter was allowed to keep track of a few screws, but that was stopped when he wouldn’t give them back to Dad.

Saturday 18th June
Dad has to mend the floor today so we all had to go out to the festival in town. Peter calls it tent day. It was too hot to be any fun and all the best shady places were taken. Mum kept us out for as long as she could, but in the end we all had to go and help Dad. We helped him by getting all of our toys out and putting them in his way.

Friday 17th June
There will be not much news today because Dad’s computer is broken. He’s a bit sad about it too. Peter keeps wanting to play on it but it’s not even in the cupboard, so he can’t. He still keeps telling Mum to switch it on though.

Thursday 16th June
where is mine train? Oh. I don’t Know! My favourite phrase today.

Wednesday 15th June
I now have quite a collection of Thomas The Tank Engine paraphernalia. I know all their names too. I can even read some of the books off by heart.

I read Dad my own version of Mr Mackmoldia this evening. The best page is the Dinosaur page. That allows me to show off my knowledge of colours and counting.

Tuesday 14th June
I did some singing with Dad this evening. I sang him all the nursery rhymes that I know - some of them I had to sing a few times as I started them on too high a note. If you start baa baa black sheep at the top of your vocal range then you are going to get into trouble right at the start of the second line.

I also played a good marble game with Dad where I hid a marble somewhere in one of my trouser legs and then Dad would have to find it because I got upset that it was lost.

Monday 13th June
I had a hug on the sofa with Peter today. He lay down on the inside of the sofa and I lay down on the edge. The only problem was that I kept on falling off. In the end Peter said that we should swap places. It only took about 17 different maneuvers to reach our final destinations.

Sunday 12th June
I went to watch Mum doing a race today and I wasn't happy about it at all. I kept expecting her to stop and say hello, but she kept running past me. Grandma looked after me though.

After that I was very tired for most of the day and not much seemed to go right until Dad put up our new garden seat - then I turned that into a bed, which with the addition of a few cushions, was very comfortable.

Saturday 11th June
Today Grandma took us on a boat in stratford. It was really nice and I was really grumpy and tired. I spent most of the trip wriggling around on any chair that was available trying to make myself comfortable. It wasn't an easy task. The least comfortable position was when my head and shoulders were on Mum's seat and my feet and ankles were on Dad's seat. I wouldn't let anyone help me do anything either. When we got off I was very upset and wanted to get back on again - i was just starting to enjoy myself.

Grandma read me about 100 stories today. Thank you Grandma.

Friday 10th June
I haven't been very well at all today. It's been quite unpleasant. I had a really sore tummy last night too. All in all a sad day, although I did have a nice time playing outside in the tent.

I sat really still on a little chair while Mum had her haircut today. I was as good as gold.

Thursday 9th June
One of those things that Dad is always warning me that might happen happened today. As usual I ran really fast into Mum and Dad's bedroom after my bath and jumped onto the bed. What usually happens is that I land neatly on the towel and roll myself up in it like a sausage. Tonight I mistimed my jump and crashed my leg into the side of the bed. There is now a very nasty looking bruise.

Wednesday 8th June
I went on a bus today after we had dropped Peter off at school. While Mum was talking to the driver, I went ot find us a seat. I went right to the back of the bus and climbed up and looked out of the window. Mum thought she'd lost me but everyone on the bus told her where I was.

Ther were a whole plethora of activities in the garden today - there was a tent, a table with some colouring, a slide that went through the tent and lots of other things. I played a good game with peter where we took it in turns to crash into each other as we slid into the tent.

Tuesday 7th June
I coloured in every single page of Peter's Incredibles colouring book today. I used bold circular marks in a vibrant red colour. It was all a little bit naughty really. Sorry about that.

I was a bit grumpy today, mostly because of my continued early rising.

Monday 6th June
I went to a baby group today and drove around a lot in a little car. Everytime I had to go to the loo I had to drive my little car to the toilet area, this is actually quite inconvenient, but I stuck to my guns and did it every time. I like the toilet because at the baby group they have the same little step for the loo as we do at home.

I was very tired and grumpy in the evening - this is because I was up at five o'clock again.

Sunday 5th June
I did some nice brick building today with Dad. He helped me stack them up really high. I built a slide, Dad made a factory with chimneys and everything. Then I told Dad that I would knock it down. The wooden floor makes a very loud noise when bricks fall on it from three feet up. Then I told Dad he could "knock it up" again.

Saturday 4th June
I went to the soft play area today. Quite good, except for all the extreme jumping and running I had to do which made me quite tired. Peter landed on top of me quite hard a few times and I threw a green ball at him which hit Dad in the face. Dad was sitting behind me.

After that we went to visit Dad's friend Dave in his new house. I blew kisses at his little girl, Rose. I think she blushed.

Friday 3rd June
I made some burst balloon soup today with Peter. First we burst all of the the balloons in the house and then Peter got a bowl from the kitchen. In went all the balloon skins and we stirred them around for a while. There was some argument as to who was going to be the cook and who was to be the assistant cook.

Thursday 2nd June
We went out on our bikes with Grandad today - he took us to the park around the corner. He's become my friend over the last few days and I have even taken to sitting on his lap. He's a bit boney though, so he's not quite as comfortable for sitting on as Dad is.

Wednesday 1st June
It's Peter's birthday today, but I still managed to get in on the present action. I got a little box of lego from Mum and Dad.It kept me nice and busy while Peter was opening all of his presents. Grandad bought me a little trevor the traction engine, which is now my closest companion. I will be taking him to bed with me this evening and clutching him in my little fist all night.
