Sunday 31st July
Today we took Grandma for a ride on a tram engine. Number 8 Yellow. I was especially pleased and sat on Dad's knee for the journey. We sat right at the front and looked at everything there was to see. It was a bit rainy but we didn't even mind.

We had lunch in a little cafe and I sat opposite two teenage girls and told them my name and enquired whether or not they might be interested in Thomas the Tank Engine at all. When that didn't work I told them that I had just been on a tram engine, but they weren't interested so I dumped them.

Saturday 30th July
Even though it was raining quite a bit we went to the beach today and had a lovely little swim in the sea, which was very cold. Grandma went all the way in right up to her neck. She was very brave. I went in up to my knees but that was it.

Afterwards we walked up a very steep hill to the connaught gardens and had a massive cake.

We had to move our tent today because of our very noisy neighbours.

Friday 29th July
I stayed awake for most of the night last night as the campsite is very noisy. Our neighbours play rubbish music all the time and that's the main problem.

We went to the beach today - it was a bit rainy but we still had a lovely time and I fell over a lot.

Thursday 28th July
Today we had a very long drive so that we could go on holiday. Eventually we arrived and Dad was very grumpy because we were trying to help. Mostly we helped by moving vital bits of tent equipment to various places around the camp site. Eventually Mum drove us away in the car to the other side of the campsite.

Grandma is here as well and we are all having fun in our enormous tent. It is raining though, which is not a lot of fun when you are camping.

Wednesday 27th July
Today I helped Dad tidy the house so that a man could come and have a look round. Mostly I helped by sitting on the sofa and watching my favourite Thomas DVD. I did move a few toys though. When the man came I tried to make him buy our house by hiding behind some cushions. I don't know if it worked but I was still hiding from him long after he had left. I was really quite upset about the whole affair.

Tuesday 26th July
Peter came to the baby group today because he is on holiday from school. He was treading all around my territory and I can't say that I was pleased about it. He used all my favourite toys too - I grumbled about it for a bit but in the end I had to put up with it.

Monday 25th July
Today we had a practice camping expedition in our front room. What htis mostly consited of was Peter and I getting all the equipment that Dad had got out of the loft and seeing what it all was. Mum made us a rudimentary tent and we ate our lunch in it. Apparently we are getting a special NEW tent. It's all very exciting. I can hardly wait until we go camping.

Sunday 24th July
We went to a camping shop today to get ready for our up and coming holiday. Peter and I tried out nearly every single tent in the whole shop with great excitement. I trupped over every single tent flap thing every time I ran in AND out of the tent. I also banged my head on two different things. One was a shelf and the other was something I stodd on which banged another bit of the thing into my head.

Saturday 23rd July
In a shock revelation this morning, we didn't go big shopping with Dad. Instead we went little shopping, bought some grapefruits and then went for a coffee and a croisant in a most civilised manner. I ate my butter first.

Dad took us to the park too and we sid annd swung and perform all kinds of gymnastic feats - I fell off the slide.

Friday 22nd July
I went to a party at Peter's school today and there was cake. It was all because today is Peter's last day at school for the whole year. Next time he goes to school he will be in the big class.

In the afternoon Mum took us out on our bikes for a little ride to the park. It was all very nice but I was exhausted because of last night's awakeness shenanigans. No sleep for me. No sleep for anyone. Those are the rules.

Thursday 21st July
Dad invented a new game today - it's the ear and nose game. I squeeze his ears and say "eek eek" and then I poke his nose and say "beep beep". A hilarious game I'm sure you'll agree. We play this game at bedtime, just after the burping game and just before the clapping game.

Wednesday 20th July
There was a surprise visit from Grandma today, which is always nice. Apparently she was just passing. I sat on her knee while we ate tea, because Peter was in a grumpy mood (probably because of his sore ankles). Anyway, later on at bedtime I did the burping game, the clapping game and then played i spy. As an extra bonus, I sang Grandma a few of my favourite songs - Baa Baa Black Sheep and so on.

Tuesday 19th July
Today was the sports day at Peter's school. I ran in a special toddler race and I did quite well, until I fell over. Mum picked (or dragged) me up again and we sprinted to the finish line. We didn't win, but at least we did finish.

I told Dad this evening that he was my very best friend ever. And Peter Miller, and Mummy Miller. Oh - and Peter Miller.

Monday 18th July
Today it was a rainy day in balamory and Peter and I played inthe garden with some umbrellas. Our umbrellas are shaped like bees. The rain was absolutely pouring down and I think I spent about as much time with the umbrella above my head as I did collecting water in it. Obviously I got soaked.

Sunday 17th July
It's been a busy old day today what with all the walking through forests in the heat and the riding on little trains that we have been doing. I tended to prefer that someone carried me as my pushchair had been hijacked by Peter, who's ankle blisters were bleeding and hurting him a lot.

Look! I'm 2 and 7 months!

Saturday 16th July
Today I mostly did a lot of not looking where I was going, saying "ow" for no reason and falling over. It was either that or being carelss and dropping things that I was supposed to be holding on to.

Friday 15th July
One of Peter's friends gave me a chomp bar today and I held it very tightly so as not to drop it. Sadly it melted all over my hand in the heat and Mum had to come to my rescue with a wiper.

I played a good game of shark with Dad when he came home. You have to poke a tooth down in the sharks mouth and sometimes the shark bites your finger if you press the wrong tooth. To minimise the risks of being bitten it's a good idea to use Dad or Mum's finger whenever it's my turn.

Thursday 14th July
I've done alot of things today, first we went on a bus and then on a train. When we got off the train we went to a park, in a swimming pool and then whisked off for a tour around a museum, which was full of naughty things - that's what I told Dad anyway. After that we went for a picnic. As you can see, it was a very busy day, and that's how I justify my bathtime tantrum.

Wednesday 13th July
Grandma paid us a surprise visit today, she helped me spell some words with Peter's spelling puzzle. She was very pleased when I accidently spelled "bach" and didn't seem to notice that the next word I put together was "dfmvlkajhglakjhfsd".

I am extra tired today because I still won't stay asleep at night despite everyone's efforts.

Tuesday 12th July
We went to the hairdresser's place today. Now usually I am really really good at the hairdressers on account of my inherant shyness around strangers. However, today, as I have been to the place several times, I was a little monkey. Opening drawers, playing with hair, climbing on the furniture. It was great.

Monday 11th July
We went to see a lovely house today, it had a nice big garden that had a big paddling pool, a trampoline and a little girl in it. While Mum and Dad looked around the house Peter and I ran around the garden. It will be lovely if we move here, because of all the toys in the garden, and obviously, it will be nice to play with the little girl. Imagine my disappointment when I was told the awful truth.

Sunday 10th July
I did some really good swimming today, I discovered that the inflatable ring works best for me, and If I wriggled my legs enough that I could propel myself around the pool at a fair rate of knots. I even had a go in the big pool - great for jumping into - I swam so far up the pool that Dad couldn't even stand up without getting water in his ears.

Saturday 9th July
We went to a fairground today - it was quite small, but it did have a few good rides in it.

Dad took us to a cafe today and we had a Croissant. As usual I ate the block of butter first.

Friday 8th July
I played a great game with Peter in the garden today. It was very basic, but caused a lot of excitement. The rules, once again, were simple. I throw a cup of water over Peter and then he threw a cup of water over me. Rinse and repeat.

Thursday 7th July
I've been enjoying a lot of reading recently, if it's nice I like to take a book outside and sit on our new bench. I usually drag Mum over and get her to read the book to me. I always insist on turning the page though, it's the only way I can be sure it's been done properly. If Mum accidently forgets and turns the page herself I have to turn it back again, grumble for a bit and then turn it over by myself.

Wednesday 6th July
Most evenings I enjoy a game of I-Spy with Dad. It's always my go though, to let a go slip through your fingers is folly. Generally it goes as follows. I spy with my little eye something begininning with.... PINK. Dad then usually asks me if the answer is Archie. Which it usually is. Then I sing Archie's song (from Balamory obviously) in my high wavery voice.

Tuesday 5th July
Today I have been a grumpy person for nearly the whole day.

Monday 4th July
An early start for me this morning so that I could surprise Dad whilehe was still asleep. I bounded across the mattress and had a good close look at him before I lifted up one of his eyelids to ask him whether he was asleep or not. Turns out that he was awake, although Peter was asked by Mum to wake him up again at 7.00.

Sunday 3rd July
Today we are just waiting for Mum to come home. Dad says that she be home sometime inbetween sandwich time and tea time. That's a bit vague if you ask me.

Anyway, Dad took us to see the fire engines in the morning and I drove one. I wasn't allowed to drive it very far though and Dad wouldn't let me turn the key. After that we went to the park and played on the swings and slides. In the afternoon, to kill the last spare hour before Mum came home Dad took us to another coffe shop so that he could drink a cup of coffee. We had a big biscuit each.

Then, finally, we went to the train station and we were all very excited. Mum's train was late and when it eventually came she wasn't on it. We were both very upset. BUt then another train came and she was on that one so it was all alright again. Peter got a big hug and I got a big hug and a duck.

Saturday 2nd July
It's been a funny day today because Mum has gone away to Mama and Dada's house without us. Dad has been doing his best to look after us and on the whole he hasn't done a bad job of it. We went to a coffee shop this morning and I ate a Croissant and a whole block of butter. Dad offered us some of his muffin, but Peter and I weren't interested.

Later on we went to see Rose and played on her trampoline. I had a lot of difficulty with that word but I got it eventually.

There have also been a lot of strange people looking around the house.

Friday 1st July
I love Jasmine and she came to play today, what's better is that she came with a great big bag of jigsaws, which is really great. I let her eat all the strawberries and I really like strawberries - That's how grateful i was.
