: : : Here is the news for February : : :
Monday
28th February
There
is not much news today, but I did do a painting.
Sunday
27th February
There
was nealry an accident because I ran away while Dad's back was turned
for just one second. I did it while he was posting a letter. I ran to
the escalators and fell over. I had to crawl quite fast to keep myself
on the flat bit. Luckily Dad ran as fast as he could and snatched me
away from danger just in time.
I
very much enjoyed the film we saw. I think it was about a train or something.
Anyway - there seemed to be lots of excitement. I ate my crisps as quietly
as possible.
I
was as noisy as possibleat Funky Monkeys.
I
ate most of my chicken dippers at Pizza Hut and Dad got me a huge bowl
of ice cream. I repaid him by picking out the best bits of ice cream
with my fingers and handing them too him.
Saturday
26th February
I went
shopping this morning, and this time I was hoping that Dad would let
us buy (with his money) one of the very special little cars that Sainsburys
has on offer at the moment - only 87p. I chose a large golden bus with
red wheels and Peter chose a silver car. I'm happy to say that as our
behaviour whilst shopping was exempliary we got to bring the cars home.
I drove my car all around the walls of the house.
Friday
25th February
I
had a mollipop today when I was going to pick Peter up from school.
Mum was telling me to finish it up quickly because she had forgotten
one for Peter and she didn't want to upset him. I grumbled a bit and
didn't finish it. She was going to put it in her handbag aat the last
minute but I stopped her. When Peter came out of school I gave him my
Mollipop. He was very grateful.
Thursday
24th February
I
woke up a lot last night. I said "mummymummymummymummy" and
to my horror Dad CALLED in from his bedroom "nightnight Andrew".
I said "night night" and went back to sleep. He tricked me.
Later on I woke him up again and sadly he bashed his shin on the bed
leg. I heard muffled shouting.
I
did some nice painting today - Peter did proper paintings of hoovers
and I did abstract ones.
Wednesday
23rd February
I
think that I may actually be a French boy instead of an English boy
as all the words that I should say that start with an "H"
usually get the "H" dropped an have a teensy accent added.
The best word that I say like this is "Ippo", although "
'At" is quite good too.
It
was snowing really hard on the way to dropping Peter off at school today
and I was really excited. My excitement dropped off a little bit though
because the snow was really hard and really cold and really in my face.
I think I'm with Mum on the snow issue.
Tuesday
22nd February
It
snowed lots today and I took my time coming home from dropping Peter
off at school so that Mum and I could make some snowballs. She is very
good at it. I even tried eating a few. They were not good to eat though.
Later on I tried eating some playdoh again. I always enjoy a lovely
bit of playdoh as it reminds me of olives.
I
asked Dad if I could have his playdoh elephant when he got home. He
said "No, because you will eat it". I made a little frowny
face. How did he catch on to my plan so quickly?
Monday
21st February
Today Peter went back to school, and although I missed him it
was nice to have some time to myself again. When he got back from school
we put up the sweetshop and sold Mum hundreds of cups of tea and cake
at either massively reduced or massively inflated prices. I also counted
four things which was nice.
Sunday
20th February
We went out with Gaye this morning to the shops. As usual I was
confined to my pushchair, but as it was bitterly cold I didn't mind
too much. Dad bought some chocolate buttons. I'm complaining to the
chocolate people. They should really put more than four buttons in one
bag. Unless Dad made that bit up.
In
the afternoon we went to ANOTHER soft play area. I helped a big boy
by pushing him down the slide. He had been sitting there for far too
long in my opinion.
I
read the whole of Mr. Magnolia to dad at bedtime. It's still my favourite
book.
Saturday
19th February
Today we went to Funky Monkey's, which, as either I can't quite
do Fs yet or I've misheard what the place is called, I pronounce as
Monkey Monkey's. I played some really good games with Dad there while
Mum ran around with Peter. My favourite game was either the "stand
up, fall over" game or the "goodnight, good morning"
game. I shan't tire you with explanations of excactly how these games
work, I'm sure you can work it out for yourselves.
Afterwards
we went to see Uncle Mark, but I was verytired and even a little bit
grumpy. We had a bit of food and then came home. I fell asleep on Dad
while we were watching Shrek, He was very pleased because it meant that
he couldn't stand up, so he had a little nap while he was waiting for
me to wake up.
Friday
18th February
I started to make some GIngerbread men today. I distracted by
the washing up though, which is, to me, a lot more fun than actually
making gingerbread men. I'm very fond of spreading water around on the
floor. Anyway, the gingerbread makery was disturbed because we had to
go and eat a cake in the library with Peter and Dad. I nearly ate my
cake all in one go.
Thursday
17th February
I have been on a train today which was great. I stood up for
most of the journey so that I could see out of the windows. Only the
top of my head gets to see out if I sit down. We had to traipse around
a lot of shops when we got to where we were going. There didn't seem
a lot of point for me as I had to sit in my pushchair because of all
the people.
When
we got home I played the "lets see what happens" game with
Dad. You fit all the shapes into the holes and then wait for them to
pop out - not forgetting to always look surprised.
Wednesday
16th February
I am not feeling very well today, I've been very listless and
been banging the doors on the cupboard all day, much to Mum's annoyance.
Tuesday
15th February
I always like to take at least one vehicle to bed with me. Tonight
I have chosen to take my little wonky tractor with me. I hope I don't
lie on it like I did last night because it's very uncomfortable.
I
watched Shrek today through some special 3d glasses. The film isn't
£d, but the glasses were available and made it look a little bit
different so I thought I'd try them.
Monday
14th February
I've caught Peter's cough and It's not very nice. Last night
I fell out of bed because I was couging so much. Dad came in to put
me to bed and he nearly dropped me because he got cramp in his leg.
I think he only just managed to put me into bed before he fell on to
the floor.
I
did some really good pictures today. I spread some blobs of paint onto
a big piece of paper and then drove my favourite tractor through the
paint puddles. The results were very nice.
Sunday
13th February
I wanted to help Dad today, so I decided to help my hefting around
his biggest hammer. I was quite keen to hit something with it. Anyway
I dropped it on the new floor and Dad said "errrrr thank you Andrew".
I said "You're Welcome"
I
did lots of copying in the afternoon, I repeated everything that Peter
and Mum and Dad said and Peter was using some of his longest words like:-
"Wheelbarrow" and "Helicopter" and "Delicious".
Saturday
12th February
Today - shock of shocks we went shopping with Mum and there were
no toy cars that cost 87p with which to bribe us. We had to make do
with being good instead. After the shopping Mum took us to Hatton park
to play in the soft play area, but we were too tired so we lay down
on the soft cushions and had little naps instead.
Dad
is making a new floor for the sitting room and it seems to be much slippier
than the previous one. We were banished to the upstairs while him and
Dave finished it off. It is good though.
Friday
11th February
There has been some tidying up today but I am too grumpy to help,
because of being awake until about 3.00am. I had some sore parts to
my body, but I was too upset to tell anyone where abouts the hurt bit
was..
Thursday
10th February
I spent nearly all night saying "mummy mummy mummy mummy".
I was ignored quite a lot and everyone was quite cross in the morning.
As a test I said it quite a lot during the day, even when I was sitting
on Mummy's knee. It was not a popular thing to do.
We
got very wet when we went to pick Peter up from school. MOstly becuase
of the rain, but also because of all the puddles that needed jumping
in.
Wednesday
9th February
We saw Snow White and the seven dwarves today and it was really
hard to understand. Peter kept asking what they were saying and I kept
repeating whatever Mum said - just to practice my sentances. I did really
well. Peter: "What are dwarfs?" - Mum: "they are tiny
little men" Me: "tiny little men". and so on. It was
probably very annoying.
I
made sure about who was in my family after bathtime. I went through
everyone of them and then told Mum and Dad that I loved Daddy, Mummy
and Peter. It was a very tender moment. I'm sure Dad shed a tear.
Tuesday
8th February
I have had to put up with Peter muscling in on my Mum time AGAIN
today as he is still ill. He has to have medicine to. I didn'tget any
when I went ot the Doctors yesterday - It seems I am made of sterner
stuff than he is.
I've
got two favourite books at the moment - Dear Zoo and Mr. Magnolia- or
"Mr Mack" as I call him for short. Dear Zoo is the top favourite
as I can decide which animals I want to put in "the naughty place"
if I decide they are naughty animals. For example: Monkeys, Snakes,
Frogs and Puppys. All Naughty.
Monday
7th February
I'm not feeling very well today so Mum has got Peter and I an
appointment EACH at the tiny doctors. Peter is much iller than me so
he's not even going to school. After our doctors visit we have discovered
that Peter is iller than I am. We had to wait a long time to find that
out AND we lost a wheels from the buggy board while we were doing it.
I
dressed up as Dad today. First I wore his hat and shoes (which are very
difficult to walk in) and I carried around his wallet. I also had an
apple core, which is something I often see Dad with. I made a very convincing
Dad especially when I was saying "I am Dad, I am Dad".
Sunday
6th February
Dad took us out this morning. We went to a shop, where surprise!
we were allowed to roam free without the aid of being in a shopping
trolley. Mostly this went well and I didn't take too many items off
the shelves. Dad bought us a biscuit as a treat for being so good. Afterwards
we went in a car wash, which was, as usual very exciting. IT only made
me jump once though.
Saturday
5th February
I have got a new toy today - we swapped it at the shop for something
that we bouht there that was broken. It's a BALAMORY play doh set. and
very useful it is too. There are all kinds of mould and presses and
even a giant bus to fill with tiny play-dogh people. I made a Miss Hooly
out of blue, yellow and green and then I ate her, because paydoh is
so delicious and salty.
I
told an old lady in a lift that I was an ogre today.
Friday
4th February
I'm so tired today that I can hardly even stand up. Dad didn't
help either because when he came home after work he opened the door
just as I was walking past it and knocked me over. I was very upset.
While still upset I went into the front room and Peter knocked me over
which made me even more upset. At least I'm sleeping better at night.
Sometimes Mum and Dad don't even have to get up to get me back to sleep
- they just tell me to go back to sleep in a voice loud enough for me
to hear from my room.
Thursday
3rd February
I did some really good painting today. There was plaenty of paper
and lots of sponges to paint with. I favoured the bear shaped sponge.
I made several excellent and creative pictures using a combination of
bear and ship sponge combined with the use of my fingers.
Wednesday
2nd February
When we went to pick Peter up from school I hid in the little
playhouse that's near the door. I think Mum knew that I was there, but
I hid anyway. After a while Peter came in and said "Would you like
a cup of tea with that?". It was to go with my plastic pretzel.
I pointed out to Peter that his teapot had no lid. "oh yes..."
he said.
Tuesday
1st February
I drew
a really good picture today - it was of everyone in the family. There
were faces for everyone and eyes and mouths for some. Some of us got
hair and Daddy got his beard. It was a very good picture. Mum did another
picture for me which was a blatant copy of mine. I wasn't keen on the
beard she gave Dad so I made her turn him into a balloon and asked her
to draw a better picture of him. Ther results were more than acceptable.
I
made my first ever cake today - it was very complicated so I was glad
to have Peter's help. He knows what to do.
