Saturday
31st
December
As
a contrast to the last few nights, last night Peter and I decided to
sleep for most of the night and to only wkae up at 7.30 in the morning,
which, I have to say that Mum and Dad were very very pleased about.
They were so pleased that they promised to take us out for a special
treat, which they did. I got my treat all the way down the front of
my jumper, but for once, no one seemed to mind.

December
Today
we have to go home, it's all very sad as I was just getting used to
TIm and Esther and Hannah. Sadly there will be no kiss for them when
I leave - only for Grandma. They will have to wait until they gain a
few more favour points before I let them into my inner circle of friends.
We
went ot see Grandad before we drove home, There was no Velcro, even
though we shouted for him loudly outside. Eventually though, we had
to come in "out of the storm". - it was raining quite hard.
Thursday
29th
December
There
were some extra christmas presents for us today including lots of "things
to do" Peter had some special pipe cleaners and I had some invisible
pens, which I tried not to use. I made a pledge to myself that all the
play activities at grandma's house would be train based. Grandma has
a few bit of wooden railway which I have very much enjoyed playing with.
Later
on in the evening I went for a walk with Dad, Esther and Tim. I was
snowing quite hard. TIm told me to eat some of the snow, so I scraped
some off the back of grandma's car, It was a bit grey, but I ate it
none the less. Dad had a few severe words with tim.
Wednesday
28th
December
We
arrived at Grandma's house today and there was an overwhelming party
already in swing. Aunit Nell was there - I told Dad that she was 100.
It turns out that she is actually only a spritely 91. Also present was
Uncle Jim, who has a beardlarge enough for me to hide inside. I shan't
talk to him until I'm sure about him.
Eventually
we had to go to bed in the cold room upstairs. I'm sure we shall be
up all night.
Tuesday
27th
December
Great
news everyone, tomorrow I am going to see Grandma, and even better than
that I shall be travelling in my brand new big-boys car seat, which
is just like Peter's one only redder. It even has two little drawers
in it where I shall be keeping my trains.
In
the afternoon we went for a freezing cold picnic in the park. We sat
on a little bench and ate sandwiches. We fed the ones we didn't want
to the many pigeons and squirrels that seemed to be very hungry. I hop
they enjoy Peanut butter and Jam.
Monday
26th
December
Exciting
news! I stayed in bed until ten to seven, so as my reward I received
and Annie and a Clarabel. I was very excited as I know Dad has had them
stashed away for quite some time.
We
played withour toysfor ages really quietly - they are all really lovely.
My favourite is my little truck that opens up into a race course.
In
the afternoon we went for a walk in the playground. Sadly we all got
wet because of the hail.
Sunday
25th
December
He
came in the night and left mne a stocking full of joyous little presents.
My favourite being a chicken that lays eggs when you bang it on the
head. There was a spinning top that makes a loud and annoying tune that
I like, but the chicken takes the cake for me.
Surprise
of all surprises, after opening all the stocking presents UPSTAIRS,
we went downstairs and Father Christmas had left a big pile of gifts
under the christmas tree! Peter distributed them as he can read long
words like "peter" and "andrew" and "mum"
and "dad". My gifts were numberous, but I made sure that I
played with every single one of them before I opened the next one. This
meant that at the end I was 10 or 12 presents behind Peter who had opened
every single one except one. He helped me open mine.
It
was a lovely day with dinner and everything, but I think I'm even more
tired than Dad is, so I shall sleep well tonight.
Saturday
24th
December
The
excitement levels have reached an all time high. HE is coming this evening
- the real father christmas. I have been minding my Ps and Qs I can
tell you.
Friday
23rd
December
We
all had a really nice day today because we went to see Uncle Mark in
his pub and he cooked some lunch for us. I had chips and Ice Cream and
was able to lounge around while I ate it. Peter had to sit up striaght
but I pretended to be tired. After our lunch we went and played in the
park in Stratford. I sat in the spinney thing for hours and hours until
I was feeling very sick and dizzy.
Thursday
22nd
December
Today
we went on a special trip today to deliver some christmas presents at
my friend Joseph's house. He had a bang on his head, but he does like
Thomas the Tank Engine and has many magnets on his living room radiator.
Joseph also showed me his toys in his bedroom and apparently, according
to Dad, we played very nicely.
Wednesday
21st
December
There
is not too much news today, but there seems to be a whole lot of tidying
up going on.
Tuesday
20th
December
Today
Dad is on holiday and so, in true tradition he took me into his office.
I played on the Thomas webpage and Dad's office friend marvelled at
my use of the mouse and the skill with which I navigated the web page.
Dad even made me look smarter by asking me "is it thomasandfriends.com?".
"YEP" I said. And it was. A lucky guess on my part.
Later
on Mum took me to another baby party. As usual there were plenty of
bad things to eat. There was also a soft play area for us to feel sick
on and FATHER CHRISTMAS was even there. Dad said he saw father christmas
driving away in a volkswagen, but Mum corrected him and said it must
have been a sleigh, because she had seen the reindeer.
Monday
19th
December
I
went to a christmas party today. There was lots of naughty food and
I'm sorry to report that I felt a little bit sick after I had finished.
Sadly I have another party to go to tomorrow - my diary is a hectic
social whirl.
In
the evening I spoke to Grandad. I said "will you come and see us
again". Grandad said, "yes". I said, "ok bye".
there's no point in beating around the bush.
Sunday
18th
December
Grandad
has got a furry cat that he wears on his head. "I like your wings
little cat" - that's what I've been saying to it as I stroke it
as it sits on my lap.
Saturday
17th
December
If
anyone has noticed, today I have notched up another month onto my age
clock. THis means that there are but 4 and a bit weeks until I am THREE.
I have been told that when I am three I will be a big boy. Peter told
me this, and sometimes he gets a bit confused, so we'll see what happens
in a month.
Mum
and Dad have mostly been tidying up today. We have been messing up.
Friday
16th
December
Tonight
Grandad is baby sitting for us. He hasn't ever done it before so I'm
wondering if we should play some tricks on him or go straight to sleep.
He pulled a trick or two out of the bag through, we didn't go to sleep
so he rang up ESTHER. he talked to her for a while and by the time he
had finished we were asleep.
Thursday
15th
December
Today
I went to a party at the salvation army baby group. Father christmas
was there, and he gave me a present which I opened. I didn't want to
speak to him though. He's sort of worrying. My present was a puzzle.
it is quite hard, but it's a nice puzzle.
Hoorah!
Grandad has come to visit. He is my friend.
Wednesday
14th
December
There
was a surprise Diesel engine for me this morning. I found it on the
little cafe table that we have in the front room. He's a black diesel
engine, he hasn't got a number or a proper name and he's a bit battered.
I like him.
Tuesday
13th
December
Aha!
Today is Peter's school play, which should give me ample oportunity
for school related shananigans and misbehaviour.
It's
after the play now and actually I was very good despite all expectations.
I did a bit of colouring , but mostly I wanted to wave at Peter. It
was very gratifying to see him wave back at me too. He was the best
grandad in the whole play.
Monday
12th
December
Today
we went to hatton farm place with the baby group. I'm sorry to say that
I found the coach trip format not quite up to standard. I'm not keen
on only being allowed to spend too short a time at every bit of the
farm. I prefer to dawdle and take too much time everywhere. That way,
and only that way do I get my fill.
Sunday
11th
December
We
have had a very busy day today. I started my day very early when I pretended
to be a spider at 5.00 in Mum and Dad's bed. Dad was so impressed that
he immediatly went to sleep in my bed. Mum was so impressed that she
barred me from her bedroom and locked the door. I got into bed with
Dad who was in my bed. He told me that if I did any more spider impressions
I would be barred from my own bedroom. I went straight back to sleep.
In
the evening we went for a drive around to look at everyone's christmas
lights. There were many snowmen and father christmases. All in very
poor taste really, but The are bright and sparkly and that's all I care
about.
Saturday
10th
December
We
did some lovely art today. Dad made a great big bit of paper on the
floor and Peter and I drew all over it. Peter drew things like rockets
and christmas trees. I drew things like squiggles and train tracks.
It was lovely.
We
also put together the kitchen that Mama sent to us in several boxes.
I cooked grapes and peas for ben when he came to see us. I gave MAtt
a little sausage.
Friday
9th
December
Dad
stayed in my bed for nearly all of last night. It was his job to prop
me up against several cushions so that I didn't cough quite as much
as I had been doing. It was a difficult job because as soon as he fell
asleep I slid down the bed and started coughing again. Then he had to
wake up and prop me up again. I was very grateful in the morning though.
Thursday
8th
December
There
was a terrible coughing fit of last night where I couldn't stop coughing
for ages and ages. Dad says I sound a bit like a seal. I'm feeling very
sorry for myself as well. I thought that I may be able to cure my cough
by getting into Mum and Dad's bed really early in the morning where
I performed some kind of ritual wriggling dance. Sadly it was to no
avail as when I woke up in the morning I still had my cough.
Wednesday
7th
December
My
secret is out this evening. It may be true that I sleepwalk. There was
some walking around late on into the night and even though Dad was standing
in front of me I didn't even see him. I got back into my bed and THEN
i woke up, which apparently was an entirely different kettle of fish
to when I was walking around and about the house with a blank expression
on my face and being all stumbly.
Tuesday
6th
December
Mum
and I accidently met Dad today in a shop in town. Mum said he would
be by a special window so we rang him but sadly he wasn't there and
didn't come to the window and wave like MUm said he would. But as if
by magic, he came into the shop we were in and picked me up. He had
a friend with him so I had to partailly hide myself away, but it was
lovely to see him so soon.
Monday
5th
December
I
fell out of the car into a puddle today. I didn't mean to but i got
my foot stuck somehwere where it shouldn't have been and then I couldn't
reach the bit of the car that I usually hold onto. The end result was
a muddy wetness.
I
helped Mum in the garden but got bored and went inside where it was
warm and played with my trains. Trains are better than being cold.
Sunday
4th
December
I
did a really good job today by helping Dad sweep all the green stuff
off our patio. I had one big brush and he had another big brush. It
was very hard work but we got it really nice and clean after a while.
The best bit was when Dad got the hosepipe out and we all got nice and
wet.
Dad
took me shopping today. We didn't have to get very much, but it was
nice to sit in the trolley and make sure that all the bits of shopping
were nice and safe. The biscuits were the safest as I kept them close
to me at all times.
Saturday
3rd
December
Dad
bought us a CHRISTMAS tree today so we all spent a long time decorating
it with as much and as many things as we could find. Once Peter had
finished putting all the decorations up I made it my business to start
rearranging them to my liking. Most of them looked better on the floor.
Mysteriously all the things that I took off ended up back on the tree
somehow.
We
went to see Father Christmas today. He was at Peter's school. I wasn't
very sure about him though so I didn't go too close.
Friday
2nd
December
There's
not even any news today. I can't remember what happened.
Thursday
1st
December
There
will be no news today, and if there were still news for Peter, there
would no news for him either. We were both too naughty to have any news
today.
