: : : Here is the news for April : : :

Saturday 30th April
We went to a farm place today where there was a cafe, I ate a huge piece of chocolate cake which I shared with Peter. I also tried some of Mums Ginger beer. It wasn't a good thing to drink I'm afraid to say. I thought I might be sick but I wasn't.

They had a little playground outside in the blazing sun. I fell off the slide and nearly poked my eye out. I didn't though, but I did get far too hot.

Friday 29th April
Today I played on my little bike in the garden. I rode up and down for quite sometime singing the PC Plum tune - although I did swap it occasionally for the Edie McReadie one.

Hoorah! Dad has bought us a present! It's a THomas the Tank Engine DVD with 26 as yet UNSEEN episodes on it!

Thursday 28th April
There is no news today because we were mostly quite naughty. I expect it was Peter's fault.

Wednesday 27th April
I had a really good sing-song with Dad and Peter at bed time, we sang all the usual favourites; Balamory, Twinkle, Baa-baa and many more. The songs won't be available at the shops because we were all singing different words, in different time signatures and mostly in different keys. Dad was probably the worst. Each song was finished with "THE END, WHAT NEXT?". Later on in the night when I was asleep, I shouted "balamory", but I was actually asleep.

Tuesday 26th April
I had my haircut today too, even though I probably didn't need it. While Peter was having his done I stripped down to my nothings and hopped up and down impatiently while Mum sorted out Peter. Eventually I got my turn and then i got to have a shower. I only fell over a few times.

I can easily catch a pink balloon.

Monday 25th April
Quite frankly my night time behaviour is getting ridiculous. I very much enjoy waking up just before 6, when Mum and Dad are at their most malleable. This morning I got Mum to take me downstairs so that we could play a game. I heard Mum talking to Dad in very hushed tones, so I suspect there is another move afoot to keep me in my bed.

Sunday 24th April
We went to a far away park today. It was quite a long drive, but there were lots of big boy slides there that I seemed to be able to slide down for a very long time. I bumped my head a few times but not too hard. I saved the hard bump for when I was at Karen and Graham's house. I bent over while I was chasing Jake around the garden and smacked it into the table.

Saturday 23rd April
We went to Ben's birthday party today. There was a Thomas cake and everything, so it was the best party ever. I ate a whole handfull of black and blue icing so I had to run around for a little while afterwards. We played with his trains and cars. Apparently we were wuite well behaved so we can go again.

Friday 22nd April
I am nearly really good at swimming. With my arm band devices on I can float on my own in the water. By using my special kicking powers aI can even propel myself up and down the pool. Sometimes I eat the water and sometimes I don't. I have also been practicing my jumping. I olike to wait until Dad is just nearly close enough to me and then jump to one side. That way I nearly give him a heart attack because he has to lunge to catch me. As an added edge of danger I like to narrowly miss banging my head on the side of the pool.

Thursday 21st April
There is no news today.

Wednesday 20th April
I got a bit upset today because Mum went the wrong way after we dropped Peter off at school. This happens a lot - especially if Dad is driving. I usually like to make up my own mind as to which way we go at roundabouts and if Dad goes a different way I get very upset. So it was today when Mum turned RIGHT instead of LEFT. I only cheered up when she said that we were going to Luckys house. It's always OK if we are going to see Lucky.

Tuesday 19th April
I thought I might be alright at bedtime tonight, so I didn't bother with doingmy special bedtime burp. THis was a grave error as burps never go too well if you lie down. We had to change my bed because I was a bit sick.

Monday 18th April
I had a terrible night last night because a) I didn't produce one of my spectacular burps after my cup of milk, so I had a very sore tummy for a very long time and b) I had a huge coughing fit which lasted for hours. Eventually I slept in Mum's bed with Peter (who I had woken up) and Mum. Dad slept in my bed. I can't say for sure whether or not he snored, but I'm sure he did. He usually does.

Sunday 17th April
I went on a really good bus today. It had no roof and there were lots of exciting things to see. I said "oh wow" to nearly every single thing that Dad pointed out. To be honest I think he was trying really hard to keep me interested because he was pointing out things like signposts and hedges towards the end of the journey. It was very cold on the bus on the way back and I was curling up on the seat in an attempt to keep warm when Dad had the brilliant idea of letting me climb inside his jumper. This was a great plan and it kept me toasty warm until we got back to the car.

Saturday 16th April
I played a really good game with Dad today where he is a kind of ladder and I climb on as much of him as I can/ It works best if he puts one ankle on his knee, this gives a good hole to squeeze through and then some purchase to allow me to get right to the top of him.

Friday 15th April
I didn't see Dad hardly at all today - except for really early in the morning when he came and got into bed with me because I was shouting and Mum was fed up of looking after me. I sang some songs to him. Balamory was one of them.

Thursday 14th April
I can very nearly count to twenty. There are a few numbers that I like to leave out but other than that I'm nearly all the way there. I'm not paying too much attention to letters though - except for A and B. B is my favourite.

Wednesday 13th April
On the way to school, before the holidays, I always used to pick a little bit of blossom for Mum and she used to put it in her handbag. Now I'm back at school I've been getting back into the habit and Andrew has been helping me. We have picked Mum one of every type of leaf and daisy and dandielion that we pass. Her handbag must be full of rotting vegetable matter by now.

Tuesday 12th April
I had a reasonably uneventful day today.

Monday 11th April
I spent a great deal of today with not many clothes on. The trouble came when Mum told me that I couldn't ride my bike around the garden with no clothes on. After a great deal of argument she asked me to go inside and find something to wear. I went to the dressing up box and after a bit of careful selection I came out wearing a veil. Very tasteful.

Sunday 10th April
I went to Fusay nky Monkeys today ON MY OWN WITH DAD. We played all my favourtie games, with the juggling and the going in the corner and the shapes and everything. To top it all I wasn't wearing a nappy and managed to have specially dry clothes for the whole occasion. I played with Toby for a while too. He like Pooh bear, so we have something in common.

Saturday 9th April
I had a really good day with my potty today. I went shopping with Dad for a whole hour and a half and there were no accidents at all. In fact, everything was very good. Dad was very pleased so we had 3 goes on Thomas The Tank Engine. I enjoyed pressing the Percy button.

Later on we went into Twon to try and find Mum who had gone missing a little bit earlier on. We parked at the top of the garage but we couldn't see her from there. Eventually she found us in Fopp. BEFORE Dad could buy a cd.

I bumped my head 7 times today. Once by falling out of the car (not moving) and 3 times by falling over on the pavement. I'm ok though - I didn't bruise my bruise.

Friday 8th April
There is a new toy in the house today and I'm very pleased to say that it IS Thomas The Tank Engine related. There is a Thomas, a Percy and a Terrance and the ferry around little black balls. It took me a while to get used to the fact that they don't need any help and that if helped they would usually do it wrong. It's very nice to watch though and I think Mum will have that game on standby so that she can keep us quiet if she needs too.

Thursday 7th April
There was a big surprise today because a parcel came. Dad was very secretive about it too - I questioned him closely about it while he was eating his breakfast. I thought he'd tell me but he distracted me with a piece of graprefruit. After he'd gone to work Mum opened the package - it was FIFTEEN thomas the tank engine toys. I am quite literally VERY pleased.

There was also a package with a THomas puzzle in it. I'm even more pleased than I was before.

Wednesday 6th April
There is no news today because Peter was really naughty all day.

Tuesday 5th April
I a new (and apparently amusing) phrase. It's "LOOK AT ME! YOU ARE HAPPY". THis is because happy is the opposite of naughty. I can't explain how the phrase came to be though. It makes little sense now I analyse it.

My bumped head has now gone down lump wise, but has turned an attractive shade of purple. I'm expecting yellow fairly shortly.

Monday 4th April
I've had a very bad accident today. There may or may not have been an extra hand involved but I bashed my head into the kitchen door frame. It was very sore and a little egg appeared on my head almost straight away. My hair needed a lot of stroking at bed time.

Sunday 3rd April
The weekend continues on apace, and today we didn't go out very far or very much because of my stupid potty training. I sort of know when I need it, but I have to be very close to it just in case. Dad had a nice nap though.

In other news, I can almost fit my big toe into my nose.

Saturday 2nd April
We went shoppingwith Dad today. I wasn't our usual jolly relaxed shopping trip though. Oh no. Usually we take about an hour and a bit. We dawdle along the aisles and Dad relays pertinent information about fruit and vegetables. Today I wasn't wearing a nappy, so we were in and out of the shop in about 30 minutes. There were no accidents though.

Friday 1st April
It's been a very good day pottywise, although I have found that its best to put down anything that i'm holding before I try and take my trousers down. This feat is hard to accomplish when one is holding a book and a truck.
