: : : Here is the news for January : : : Saturday
31st January Friday
30th January Dad read "Dear Zoo" to me again this morning. I made growling noises for every animal. I know that one of them growls, i'm just not sure which one. Growling at all off them just covers me. My teeth are still giving me terrible trouble. My bottom is veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery sore. Mum has been applying ointment all day. Thursday
29th January Wednesday
28th January I'm off my food - it's official. I haven't eaten very much today AND i've been sick a few times too. Hopefully I'll be able to get a good nights sleep without Mum and DAd disturbing me too much. Tuesday
27th January I had to go to the doctors because I wasn't feeling very well. The Doctor had a really good look at me (especially in my ears) but he couldn't find anything. Maybe I was just being grouchy today - no one knows for sure. Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow and even more hopefully I won't wakeup 5 times in the night. Monday
26th January I was sick twice today. Once on the floor and once on Dad's lettuce. Sunday
25th January I played with the garage with Dad for a while in the afternoon while Mum read to Peter. We pushed the cars up and down the ramp and when we got bored of that we pushed the people up and down. Dad cooked me a special tea which said "Andrew" on it. I carefully carefully tipped it all over my head. Saturday
24th January I did a lovely drawing this morning - I also sucked some of the felt tip pens and drew a moustache on my face with the green one. I look very smart. Friday
23rd January My soreness is improving. Thursday
22nd January My bottom is very sore, as I may have mentioned. Dad says it's all due to my teeth. Wednesday
21st January Dad gave me some pull along ducks this morning and I had a good go at saying "duck". It mostly just came out as "D" though. Still - Dad said it was a really good try. Tuesday
20th January I like playing in the toy box corner too. I can spend - ooooh - minutes taking all the toys out and finding one that I want to play with. Peter is very helpful too - he says things like "This toy is suitable for babies", and he's usually right. Monday
19th January I have been playing a new game with Mum. She wears a jumper or a top of some sort and I lift it up. The winner is the first person to laugh at her tummy button. It's usually me. Ben came to visit us today and he was kind enough to bring me a birthday present. It was a lovely wooden man, that rocks around. We played sort of together with the same toys. Peter was a bit of a nuisance though. He was a little bit over excited. Sunday
18th January Dad made me an exciting house out of the sofa and some sheets. The construction was rudimentary, but it served its purpose. I enjoyed going in through the door and out again time after time. Dad just sat inside it and waited for me. I had a really good go at my new puzzle today. I got the circle, square and triangle pieces in eventually. The star shaped piece poses more of a problem though. Some of my recent words are... "yes" "no" "hello" "goodbye" "lala" "this" and "daddy" Saturday
17th January I've had lots and lots of lovely presents today, I got a beautiful bear from Mama, he's going straight into my cot. Grandma ruth also gave me a lovely bear so there's a friend for the first one. I spent a long time playing my new xylophone today - You can really give it a pounding with the special stick that comes with it. In the evnening I had a special cake that Peter made for me. It had ONE candle on it. It was pink inside and it hada train on to of it. Birthday's are good. I'm wondering when I'll be able to have another one. Friday
16th January Thursday
15th January Teeth. My face is very sore. Wednesday
14th January It saw my first snow today. I wasn't very impressed. Tuesday
13th January I was in a slightly better mood today - I've found that because molar teeth have four points there is a lot of poking and tearing to the gums, which is never pleasant. I shall have to remind Dad to give me some Calpol this evening before bed. Perhaps the threat of a bit of tooth grinding will persuade him. Monday
12th January In other tooth related news, I have started experimenting with grinding my teeth at bed time. Dad told me to stop several times. I think it made him feel a bit funny. Sunday
11th January Dad bought me a bucket from the DIY shop - at least, I think it was for me. If not, then he'll find that I have claimed it as my own. I spent quite a while getting in and out of it. Dad has to hold it though because I was wobbling it quite a lot and Dad didn't want me to fall over. I have also been having some climbing adventures on the arm of the chair. I like to climb up one side and then swing my legs over the arm and drop to the floor. Last night was the very first night that I slept from when I was put to bed until the morning. Mum and Dad were quite pleased. Saturday
10th January I've been playing with Esther and Hannah today and they have been doting on me - apart from when they were asleep this morning for ages and when they fell asleep in the afternoon. I crawled and walked all over them but they didn't wake up. Dad was taking notes. Friday
9th January Peter spent a long time pushing be around in the washing basket today. We played for a long time very nicely and I didn't get tipped out. Dad didn't come home for ages today, but Peter reassured me by telling me not to worry because Daddy was coming home in the car. Thursday
8th January I opened the toilet door at Brag about 50 times today. Mum was getting a bit fed up of constantly having to come and get me. She was told that the only other person who has managed to do it that many times was Peter. I think that's funny. Wednesday
7th January The cause of my troubles last night may have been revealed today - there's a new tooth in my mouth- it's on the left and at the top. Another Molar! that makes 11 teeth so far. There's also one coming on the left at the bottom. I'm hoping it comes soon. Whenever I go near Peter's puzzles Peter says "Oh oh - here comes trouble!" Peter is very funny and makes me laugh a lot. I'm always getting in a muddles trying to do what he is doing. He's also been teaching me some words recently. He's taught me "please", which I had a little go at saying. It didn't come out quite right though. Tuesday
6th January I like to get Mum or Dad to walk around with me holding my hand at the moment. As long as they go where I lead them it's alright. It's easy to do - take a firm grip on any finger and drag them along. Monday
5th January I had a good game of hide and seek (lite) today with Dad. I hid behind the curtain and then peeped out and then he hid behind the curtain and then peeped out. It's nice when you know where you stand. Sunday
4th January We went out for a walk in the park but we couldn't get in because Dad didn't have £1.30. Mum didn't either so we had to go to a different one. I sat in my pushchair patiently. Saturday
3rd January In the afternoon Dad took me on another shopping trip to buy me a new milk cup. Rather embarrasingly when we got to the checkout he discovered that he didn't have his wallet. We looked round another few shops and didn't buy anything there either. We did have a good time in the lifts though. Friday
2nd January No nap for me this afternoon. I'm experimenting with getting rid of one or other of them so that I can get a bit more playtime. There are various options open to me. I can lose the 45 minute morning one and add a few minutes to my afternoon one, or sleep for longer in the morning and only have a bit in the afternoon. I'm currently in negotiations with Peter, as he likes to do puzzles on the floor while I'm asleep. Thursday
1st January Not only was Grandma still here this morning AND available to play with but my cousins Sam and Daisy came to see us too. We had lots of fun covering the whole floor in toys. As fast as Dad and Mum tidied up we emptied boxes and spread the contents around. Sadly they couldn't stay very long but we've promised to meet up again.
